Can anyone become a member of MCT?

No. Membership in MCT Federal Credit Union is currently limited to those who work in our select Employer Groups and members of their families. Many Montgomery County employers are among those in our designated field of membership. If you are unsure whether you qualify for membership, please contact us.

How can I become a member?

A.
It’s simple to join. Just open a Share (savings) account with a minimum deposit of $25.00. This makes yu a full member with all rights and privileges.

Is my money safe at MCT?

A.
The short answer: absolutely. The longer answer is that not only does MCT not make “questionable” investments like some banks, we are also insured by the NCUA. NCUA protects the money you have in a credit union account up to $250,000, same as FDIC protects money in a bank account. Both are backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government, so no matter what happens, your money is safe.

Is it a long process to get a loan?

MCT has some of the fastest loan turn-around times available. Most loans are completed within 24 hours. We understand that your life goes on and decisions need to be made, so we make it a priority to expedite your loan requests. And, new members can apply for a loan THE SAME DAY they become members! How’s that for convenience?

Yes. Comprehensive online banking is available from MCT. Access your accounts 24 hours a day, any day, even pay bills online with our eBillPay system. Safe, convenient and easy to use!
